Being an enviro school is only about picking up rubbish - other people's rubbish.

What do you think? Strongly agree? Strongly disagree? Why?

We strongly agree because all we ever do is pick up other peoples rubbish. And the teachers always ask us to pick up other peoples rubbish no matter how disgusting it is(once Jordan had to pick up an old piece of tomato and chicken skin). Our parents have complained and said that we can't help save the environment without an education.

  2. No it isn't because, being an enviro school is about caring for our environment not just picking up rubbish but reusing, reducing and recycling. We could do this by reusing old cans and turn it into a pencil holder or reusing old tyres for a retaining wall, reducing the amount of paper you use by using both sides.
How do you think we could reduce the amount of plastic we have in our school?

  3. I strongly disagree, because its not just about picking up rubbish, its also about sorting the rubbish in the right bins, and planting tree's to make New Zealand green, like it was before europeans came.

  4. We disagree, because being an environmental school is not only about picking up rubbish, it is also about making sure that our plants and trees grow, so we can have more oxygen. Also we need the worm bin because without the worms our plants will die. Lastly because if you look after your environment you won't have to clean up after others.

  5. I strongly agree because the children always have to pick up rubbish after others. We do care for the environment but others don't always, so why do we need to pick up after others when they can pick up after themselves.

  6. We strongly disagree because we think being a enviro school isn't all about picking up rubbish, it is also about planting trees and keeping the environment around us clean. We think we have to organise our rubbish because if we put plastic in the worm bin, the worms would die and our soil would be as good. By Don and Ethan.
